How Do They Make Money?T-Mobile US (TMUS) provides services, devices, and accessories across three flagship brands: T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and Mint Mobile (which they acquired from Ryan Reynolds in May 2024).
Services and Products:
In December 2024, they provided wireless communications services to 129.5 million postpaid and prepaid customers (up to 132.8 million as of June).
The sale of wireless devices and accessories (including smartphones, wearables, tablets, home broadband routers, and other mobile communication devices)
They provide wholesale wireless services to partners, who then offer the services for sale to their customers.
High Speed Internet (currently limited to domestic households in areas with excess network capacity)
Products and services that are complementary to our wireless communications services, including device protection, financial services, and advertising
Fun fact: TMUS's majority shareholder and namesake is Deutsche Telekom Group since 2001, a partially state-owned German company who are one of the world's largest telecommunications providers by revenue.
