The art of blowing things up

Reoccurring revenue streams are the best. Every industry has their version of "subscriptions". In the electrical industry that is fusing everything needs fuses from your blender, to your PC, if something stopped working in a power system the first thing you check are the fuses. Data centers although I have never designed one are an electrical system. From my basic understanding of electricity I know that in a data center you need fuses. If you really want to put your head in a spin to know how many fuses you can read the NEC 2025 or later version depending on what year it is. For industrial applications that use 3 phase electricity you need 3 fuses. Now fuses are designed to protect assets especially high dollar assets. Sure preventing fires is one thing but you can blow up your server without starting a fire.

So, when I see all of the data centers being built I see a reoccurring revenue stream. If you need a fuse you need one right now you do not have time to wait. So, everyone in industry stock piles fuses because they are the electrical version of a subscription.

So, the question I have is who is capturing the market supplying fuses to the data centers?

Little Fuse mentioned this in their Earnings call on January 28th. They seem to be in a favorable position

Eaton requires further investigation

Bel Fuse still looking into

Now here is the tricky part there are fuses there are international vendors that sell fuses in the United States

Little Fuse had a bump in revenue which they mentioned in their earnings calls

  • The Fact: Passive Products (Fuses) saw a 23% organic growth in Q4 2025.

  • Management Note: CEO Greg Henderson noted that the growth is now coming from "high-power and high-energy density solutions" (industrial-grade) rather than standard commercial fuses.
