Microsofts slow decline?

Has anyone been looking into the features of windows and how they increased spying on people over time?

I'm currently looking more deeply into some problematic tech things, company's burning money, moat erosion, AI development stuff, chip development and company behavior.

For me it looks like they make themself obsolete in the future.
Alienating their core users with forced AI integrations, ads in the OS, dark patterns to keep people on Edge/Bing, and increasingly aggressive telemetry:

  1. Destroying trust — BitLocker FBI access, Recall privacy fiasco, broken Patch Tuesdays

  2. Making the upgrade path hostile — strict hardware requirements for Win11 left hundreds of millions of perfectly functional PCs locked out

  3. Pushing people toward alternatives — every time they shove Copilot into Notepad, someone discovers that other OS and non Microsoft software exists and work fine
