Why I'm starting research on Goldman Sachs

• Goldman Sachs is one of the most prestigious and recognizable brands in Finance

• Regulatory environment will continue to improve, accelerating M&A

• $GS is often a top adviser in global M&A.  

• I've never analyzed a banking stock on Flank! (I owned $JPM from a few years ago but only kept the research 'in my head')

• Because of its size, regulatory scrutiny, and market role, many investors treat $GS as a reliable, systemically important institution. (It is designated as a systemically important financial institution.)

What do y'all think? It'll definitely be "boring" analysis, but could lead to some fun insights!
