Project Dojo Shut Down

This is really rough news since I’d been really hopeful they would crack some AI training chip design that would improve margins… but maybe it can be seen as a good thing. They’ve since announced Samsung will be pricing their AI inference chips in Texas and that could be their bread and butter. It also really accentuates the dominance (as if it could be anymore obvious) of Nvidia in the space. I wonder if any other firms (Google, Amazon, Meta…) will make a similar choice to Tesla, or if someone will finally make a breakthrough?
