Future Sydney Sweeney ad campaign creates $416M in value for American Eagle

Influencer marketing is ABSOLUTELY the future.

The "Great Jeans" ad campaign will air in a fall campaign for the clothing retailer.

Sweeney’s campaign will center on American Eagle’s denim jeans, according to the company. That comes as retailers lean into the growing preference for the fabric amid a boom in popularity for Western styles.

“With Sydney Sweeney front and center, she brings the allure,” Jennifer Foyle, the company’s president and executive creative director, said in a statement. “We add the flawless wardrobe for the winning combo of ease, attitude and a little mischief.”

On the topic of memes, American Eagle is a great candidate for the next meme stock (though we should never invest on that hope). It's a meme-stock candidate because American Eagle’s high short interest (~13% of shares outstanding) and inherent brand recognition.

The stock still remains battered, their stock has fallen 46% in 1-year, and shares trade at 10x earnings... making it also... and I can't believe I'm writing this... a value play?
