Understand The Income Statement

The income statement is positive overall, but looking farther in the past gives me questions I'm trying to figure out. Revenue has been above 10% consistently and gross profit margin has been above 60% but the 2024's came it at the lowest value (60.46%) which isn't alarming but lower than the previous decade.

2019 is where things get interesting, 2019 was something of a breakout year - when things turned positive.

Prior to 2019, their operating income (and net income) was in the negative. Since 2019 their operating income has remained positive and growing with the exception of 2021 when they both shrank, but looking at the graphs/percent increases, I'm wondering if really 2020 was an abnormally high year and will look into it.

  • Revenue is growing at rates below:

    • 9 year: 29.20%

    • 5 year: 22.27%

    • 1 year: 11.34%

  • Gross Profit Margin

    • Has been >60% since 2013

    • Not growing (been wavering between 63% and 69%, but 2024 was at 60.46%)

  • Operating Income is positive ($600,000,000 as of 31DEC2024)

    • Has been positive since 2019 when they first went positive at $142,300,000

  • Bottom line: $576,200,000

    • Growth rate:

    • 10 year: ?? (negative starting value)

    • 5 year: 41.63%

    • 1 year: 6.41%

  • The diluted EPS is currently $1.42

    • Overall increasing since 2019 with a 60.15% decrease for 2021

    • Growth rate:

      • 5 year: 5.24%

      • 1 year: 9.23%
