A trend I'm noticing (flank update)
Something I'm noticing as we see our community grow is that, it seems, we like to talk about industries.
**I'd be curious to run a calculation on how many of our posts go to "general" vs a company page.
I think it's because it's boring & overwhelming to research an individual business 90% of the time.
But this isn't a bad thing.
Becoming comfortable writing about the future economics of an industry is the first step to becoming comfortable (and interested) enough to research & find a great company at a fair price.
What imma do about it:
Get the flank platform more organized/supportive or sector/industry analysis + complete the forum bug.
Curious to hear your thoughts.
I also need to say this:
feature requests...I LOVE GETTING THEM. Please keep sending them!
They are seriously helping us figure out what to build. There are trends in your requests. We are building the gym for intelligent investors together, and I'm very grateful you're here.
The BEST way to ask for a feature request is:
"as a user", I would like [INSERT REQUEST], so that I [INSERT WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU]
This really helps me, and we're using a custom AI agent to help us write good PRDs for AI-assisted development. This makes it easier to structure it and develop it quicker.
Hope everyone is doing well out there - remember now is the time to really be hunting for a buy. I'll be deploying between 150-$200k of my own capital in the next two weeks.
