Life Sciences Division Verily To Be Spun-off
Looks like Google will be concerting its efforts into a tighter niche as they will be spinning-off Verily, their life sciences subsidiary. What’s important to me as a Google investor though is that AlphaFold and OpenFold protein-folding projects are not part of Verily but instead Google DeepMind, their AI research division.

Another interesting tidbit was that Google was already cutting some fat off this subsidiary, seemingly in preparation for it to be spun-off! So maybe it will float?

In the end, I’ll probably just sell the shares I get of Verily to buy more Google since I don’t know what they do as well.
