Is There A Qualitative Moat?
Is There A Qualitative Moat?Fabrinet's leadership has been focused on an industry with real applications that are approaching the mass-adoption phase in consumer markets, aerospace applications, as well as highly-lucrative defense contracts being drafted for drone-based mapping, battlefield scanning, and weapons targeting technologies. There are also robotic and logistics applications, potentially aligning with the trends towards the automation of factories and warehouses that require precise and dynamic spatial data, meaning adaptability and reliability for smooth autonomous operations.
Their (Fabrinet's) brand and services are becoming synonymous with quality and value among their customers; further displayed by mentions of praise and preference of their partnership with Fabrinet throughout the streamlining of manufacturing (as might be interpreted from mentions seen in numerous companies’ earnings calls, see Quartr screenshots attached below.)
Fabrinet is poised to be a major supplier to lidar companies worldwide in this only just emerging field, given the onset of solid-state Lidar developments.
I see them as the “Thai TSMC” for these new, budding technology companies.
Fabrinet is your best friend in fabrication.
