Rivian E-Bike Spinoff 🚵♂️⚡️🔋
Since being reported in Bloomberg on February 3, 2023, Rivian’s been internally discussing, developing, and now scaling up their bespoke e-bike concept, working with Eclipse Venture Capital to fund a $105M Series B funding round; the VC firm founded in 2015 and based out of Palo Alto, California.
Given Rivian’s 14.1% ownership by Amazon, I suspect there will be some additional synergy assuming Amazon continues to collaborate with the company and RJ Scaringe in novel ways as planned originally by Jess Bezos (personal speculation).
