Fiserv Inc
Fiserv down 67% in one year. Is it a buy?
This is a business I'm trying to understand better.
But it's hard to argue with the facts: this is a real company that has been growing revenue pretty nicely (9/5/1: 16%/7%/5%).
The huge fall in Fiserv’s stock is largely due to a big miss and a big reset — growth that was expected to be strong has stalled, guidance has been sharply reduced, the business is facing operational execution and competitive issues, so investors are pricing in a weaker future.
In response to the weak performance, Fiserv announced major leadership changes (new CFO, co-presidents, changes to the board) intended to reset strategy and execution
FiServ handles debit and credit card transactions, loyalty programs, loans, electronic bill pay, check deposits, and ATM transactions on behalf of banking institutions. They also produce debit and credit cards and point of sales terminal (Clover)
Anyone have any thoughts on this business? I've heard of them before but never looked into the business. Could be a good research company for people with financial services experience
