Dafdef AI Key - Portabel AI Agent for iOS devices - Best new tool for automating invetings workflows?
Yesterday I stumbled over a video I saw on social media, a small dongle that apparently acts as an agent for your phone!
What is the Dafdef AI Key:
A tiny USB-C dongle that plugs into your iPhone and acts as a portable AI agent. It can “see” your screen, tap, swipe, type, and run tasks across apps. You approve its plan before it acts and can pause/unplug anytime.
Here are some workflows ChatGPT said could be done with the AI Agent:
1) Earnings-day kit builder (Ticker → Files + Note + Reminders)
Approve → run:
Ask you for a ticker (e.g., CRM).
Open Safari → search “<ticker> investor relations” → open IR.
Download latest shareholder letter / deck / PR → save to Files/Research/<TICKER>/Earnings/YYYY-MM-DD.
Open Quartr app (if installed) → queue the latest earnings call for offline.
Create a Note titled “<TICKER> | Qx FYxx – KIT” with headings: Thesis/Variant/KPIs/Guide/Risks/Qs for mgmt.
Add 3 Reminders: “Read PR,” “Skim deck,” “Listen call” (due today).
Why: One tap gives you a clean workbench for the quarter.
Gotchas: If a site uses a weird downloader, the agent may screenshot and save instead—fine as a fallback.
2) “30-minute 10-K sprint”
Approve → run:
Safari → search “sec 10-k <company name>” → open latest PDF.
Open the table of contents → jump through Business, Risk Factors, MD&A (first page of each).
For each section: select first paragraph → copy → append to Note “<TICKER> | 10-K Sprint” under matching heading with a 🔖 timestamp.
Set a 30-min timer; when it ends → create 3 Reminders: “Revisit Risk #1,” “Model 3 KPIs,” “Find segment margins.”
Why: Forces a structured first pass without getting lost.
Gotchas: Some filings are HTML not PDF—agent handles copy differently (still fine).
3) KPI extraction → Numbers sheet (light data wrangle on iPhone)
Approve → run:
Open the latest PR/deck (PDF).
Copy the KPI table area → paste into Numbers sheet “KPI-Log <TICKER>.numbers.”
Clean obvious line breaks (Backspace pass), convert % to numbers, add YoY/ QoQ formulas for the new row.
Export a quick PNG chart of the core KPI and save back to Files.
Why: Gets you a living mobile KPI log per name.
Gotchas: PDF tables paste messy; the agent does a quick clean and flags any cells for your manual tweak.
4) Consensus snapshot → “Where am I different?”
Approve → run:
Safari → open two public sources with estimates (e.g., Yahoo Finance overview + company IR “outlook”).
Copy current revenue/EPS guides and street medians into Note “<TICKER> | Consensus vs. Me.”
Add bullets: Street says X; Mgmt guides Y; My view Z (placeholder).
Why: Captures your variant perception in one place.
Gotchas: If a site is paywalled, the agent skips it and labels “🔒 paywalled—manual”.
5) Earnings call notetaker (Quartr → Notes → Tasks)
Approve → run:
Open Quartr → latest call → set 1.25×.
Start timer = call length; open Notes “<TICKER> Call Notes (YYYY-MM-DD).”
Every time you tap Volume Down (marker gesture), agent inserts “⏱️ T=mm:ss –” line for a note.
After call → create a Reminders list “Follow-ups <TICKER>” with each “❓” line extracted.
Why: Lightweight way to tag moments and get follow-ups out of your head.
6) IR/PR watcher → inbox triage (last 48h)
Approve → run:
Safari → company News/Press page → scan last 48 hours.
For each new item: open, copy headline + link, append to Note “IR Watch – Today.”
If “guidance,” “customer win,” or “partnership” is detected in the title text, create a Reminder to evaluate impact.
Why: Keeps you from missing small but material drops between quarters.
7) Competitor map → mini-market scan
Approve → run:
Open your Notion (or Notes) page “Market Map – <THEME>.”
Safari: run 3 searches: “<theme> competitors”, “top <theme> startups 2025”, “<theme> public comps list”.
Add bullets under Incumbents / Mid-caps / New entrants with links.
Create a Reminders task: “Build quick comps table (rev growth, gross margin, FCF)” due tomorrow.
Why: Rapid scoping before you deep dive.
8) Red-team my thesis (mobile)
Approve → run:
Open Notes “<TICKER> Thesis” → copy the Thesis and Risks sections.
Open your ChatGPT “Red Team” thread → paste with the prompt: “Find 5 holes with evidence.”
Copy the best 3 counters back into the Note under Pushback.
Why: Forces a daily dose of disconfirming evidence on-the-go.
Gotchas: Assumes you’re logged into ChatGPT on iOS.
9) Insider/ownership pulse (SE-friendly)
Approve → run:
Open Avanza (or Börsdata if installed) to Insiders/Owners tab for <TICKER>.
Screenshot the last 10 changes → save to Files/Research/<TICKER>/Ownership/YYYY-MM-DD.
Append a grid of the moves (Name, Action, Amount) into Note “Ownership Tracker.”
Why: Quick visual trend; pairs well with thesis updates.
10) “Research inbox to library” (Safari tabs → Files/Notes)
Approve → run:
In Safari Tab Group: Research, iterate open tabs tagged with the company.
For PDFs: download → save to Files/Research/<TICKER>/Sources.
For articles: copy title + URL → append to Note “Sources <TICKER>” with
- [ ]checkbox for review.Close the tab if saved (keeps your browser clean).
Why: Zero-bounce capture into your library.
11) “From clip to chart” (figure capture → annotation → file)
Approve → run:
From PR/deck, long-press a chart → Save Image.
Open Photos → Markup → Add text label (KPI, quarter).
Save to Files/Research/<TICKER>/Charts and attach to the KPI Note.
Why: You’ll reuse these charts in theses, decks, LinkedIn posts.
12) Social proof-of-work (research → post draft → task)
Approve → run:
Open Note “Research Highlights – Today.”
Build a 4-bullet summary of one company (auto-pull titles from your “Sources” note).
Open LinkedIn → start a post → paste bullets + tag #Investing #EquityResearch → Save as draft (don’t post).
Create Reminder “Polish & post (evening).”
Why: Keeps your public cadence without derailing deeper work.
What are your thoughts? Do you think it would help your way of doing research?
