DOGE and the Musk impact

So, I've been seeing a lot in the news lately about Musk laying off federal employees with efficiency changes. I also had dinner with a family member earlier this week who works for a large government contractor and she said that they are seeing a number of private contractor jobs going away as the government is giving these roles to their own employees.

I am curious if anyone has an opinion about how continued government layoffs could impact the private sector? Will wee see large government contractors lose out on revenue? Or is there even an opportunity hidden here somewhere?
